Benjamin White

Benjamin White is Lead Technology Solutions Strategist in ME&A’s Digital Technologies and Research Unit (DTRU) providing development geospatial expertise along with advanced data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities to address development priorities. He is currently working on  integrated methodologies for remote sensing and monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Mr. White is a senior geospatial and data science professional with 20 years of experience with geography, remote sensing, and GIS with sub-specialties in land use, forestry, climate, carbon accounting, and climate change policy. He is a member of the Royal Geographic Society and the International Astronautical Federation and has served as a subject matter expert to multiple organizations, including GLG Consulting, the IEEE Global Earth Observation System of Systems, and UNESCO. Mr. White holds a M.A. in Geography from the University of Maryland College Park and a second master’s in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from KU Leuven in Belgium. He also holds a B.A. in Philosophy from George Washington University.
