Simret Habtezgi

Project Manager


Simret Habtezgi supports the USAID-funded Global Health Evaluation and Learning Support Activity (GH EvaLS) as a Project Manager. GH EvaLS provides evaluation, assessment, and learning support for health-related projects and activities at USAID/Washington and USAID Missions. Ms. Habtezgi is responsible for supporting GH EvaLS teams in implementing activities within budget, established time frames, and quality standards.

She has experience working with projects funded via the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and has supported multiple projects in sub-Saharan Africa. She has also worked as an evaluation consultant for various health and development projects in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Most of her work has focused on infectious diseases control. Ms. Habtezgi holds an M.P.H. focusing on international health and nutrition from University College Dublin and a B.A. in Biology from Jacksonville State University.
