Overview
The Data for Development project provides performance management and evaluation services to improve data-driven decision-making, planning, and implementation for US Government mission in Tanzania, its implementing partners, and strategic local partners, including the National Bureau of Statistics and other Tanzanian institutions. Activities
- Conducting performance and impact evaluations, surveys, assessments, and other research tasks for projects related to water resources integration, rural roads development, gender-based violence and gender equity, primary education, community health, and health services for children and adolescents with HIV
- Strengthening performance monitoring and reporting by US Government mission in Tanzania’s implementing partners—including data visualization using GIS mapping and data utilization for adaptive management—with close attention to the gender and youth aspects of the Mission’s portfolio
- Building the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (ME&L) capacity of US Government missions and its implementing partners as well as a range of Tanzanian institutions
Funding
US Government mission in Tanzania awarded this $27.7 million task order to ME&A in 2017 under the Policy, Planning and Learning-Learning, Evaluation and Research (PPL-LER) IDIQ contract to provide evaluation, monitoring, and assessment services for US Government missions and offices worldwide.
