USAID Releases 2012 Edition of Safeguarding the World’s Water

On October 11, 2013, USAID released its annual report, “Safeguarding the World’s Water” for Fiscal Year 2012. The report features a collection of water activities from a cross section of the world’s developing countries.

One of the great development challenges confronting the world today is access to clean, safe water for regions, nations, and individuals to improve health and grow food. USAID works in cooperation with U.S. and international partners to save and improve lives around the world. Water is critical to the well-being of all people – socially, personally, and economically. By its nature, as a basic and essential resource, water considerations cut across nearly every aspect of USAID programming, including the President Obama’s Feed the Future, Global Health, and Global Climate Change Initiatives.

ME&A produced the “Safeguarding the World’s Water” report for USAID’s Water Office under the Water Sector Communication and Knowledge Management (WS/CKM) Program.

This year’s report is available online here.
